BYU JERUSALEM STUDY ABROAD
WINTER 1978

Shalom - Salaam Peace be unto you... Welcome to the January--June 1978 BYU-Jerusalem Study Group Website!

This website is produced and maintained for the alumni of the Brigham Young University Semester Abroad Jerusalem group of Winter 1978. The group traveled together to Paris, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Greece and England, learning much about the lands they visited and bonding as a family under the fatherly guidance of their director, Dr. S. Kent Brown of Brigham Young University. Dr. Brown serves as director of several scholarly religious programs, is an author and expert in ancient scripture and Coptic, and continues to lead this group and others with his friendship, wisdom, scholarly work and writings.

2007 Reunion Enjoyed By All

The reunion is over for now and was a great success (see group photo). Thank you to Dallin for his great sacrifice to make this happen in his lovely home. Following the reunion, Dallin flew to Florida where he has relocated. Thank you to Susan and Leslie and others for helping with the planning and contacting, and to all those who participated. Thanks to Brother Brown, Joanne Vorkink and Mark Mattox and all for uplifting and informing the group. A reunion trip to the Holy Land with Brother Brown is currently being planned for 2009 or 2010.

PhotoShow of Israel

You may need to download QuickTime 7.2 and be patient with this, but it is so well-worth the effort. From Kathleen Bluth's daughter's brother-in-law, a beautiful perspective of the Holy Land accented by a wonderful background of Middle Eastern music.
